Top 10 Resolutions for Cancer Survivors

Ok kids.  I'm not usually one to make New Years Resolutions.  But I do like to setup the new year with a new, groovier frame of mind than last year.

And being a cancer survivor means being extra groovy!

So here are some ideas to spur you to a new groovy mindset for 2009 too.

Top 10 Resolutions for Cancer Survivors

  1. Read more books.  If you're like me, you've got books on your shelf you haven't yet read.  You were simply waiting for the right moment.  Maybe the time's ripe now.
  2. Have more real conversations.  Connect with others and LISTEN.
  3. PLAY!  Put some money away every month and use it frivolously to enjoy yourself.  Don't spend it on anything practical, but on something you normally wouldn't.
  4. Judge yourself no more.  Love yourself unconditionally. Gaze in amazement at yourself in the mirror each morning and say the follow "I love who I am, I love everything I do, I love every thought I think and I love everything I feel.  I love being me!"
  5. Get quiet.  For 10 minutes everyday, sit in a peaceful spot with your eyes closed and watch the universe "roll at your feet in ectasy".
  6. Celebrate your successes.  Every step counts!
  7. Eat well, and detoxify your body.
  8. Accept things as they are.  Go easy, it's a practice.
  9. Exercise more.
  10. Say "I love you" more.

How about you? What are your resolutions or intentions for this year?  What should be added to this list?
